Is there anyway to get money back from this seller?

My sister won something on eBay at start of August. She paid via PayPal and seller sent via courier. When item arrived it was broken. It was well packed but had obviously been damaged in transit. My sister emailed seller and sent photos of damage. It's not repairable. The seller was very apologetic and said she would refund and take it up with courier. My sister thought that was end and being busy mum, working full time etc, stupidly didn't check her PayPal account. She realised a few weeks ago that seller had not refunded (it was about £25). She has emailed seller loads of times with no response. I know she is out of time for an eBay dispute. Is there anything else that can be done. Have already left v negative feedback! Thank you

if it was paid via credit card or debit card which is verified by visa she can try and do a chargeback through them - otherwise short of small claims court there is no way.

Thank you Sandy I suspected that might be the case. I guess the lesson is to keep on top of eBay admin. But really annoyed in her behalf!

now if you contact via ebay asking where an item is a case is automatically opened and then ebay do remind you to escalate it to get your money back

If I were her I would contact seller and ask them to refund within 48 hrs or suchlike and then if not tell them she is taking them to small claims court plus will contact trading standards too (if they are a business seller that is).
