I've just realised the e-mail states you can only list in one category. I've already listed in two different categories but it came up as being zero insertion fees. Am I being stupid not understanding something?

It means that if you list the item in two different categories, you will pay for one of them - you can only list each item in one category. In the "Good Old Days" you used to be able to list items in 2 different categories on free listing days.
