Paypal - Funds not yet available

Have been selling on eBay for over a year and suddenly on one payment this month my balance is showing as pending, have sent item and marked as dispatched but it's still not cleared.

When I look it says "based on your history as an ebay seller" but I've never had any problems

PayPal has a new option for some payments to be held for a month, fund are usually released after the time period is up.

They should have sent you information regarding the change.

You might have an option to refuse this on your side which presumably you need to opt of, I've noticed not all retailers have this option.
