How do I keep ebay fees down?

I am really ebaying this autumn, I have bags of stuff! I was somewhat surprised to see that after a while I my listings of clothes weren't free anymore. I just got my ebay bill, and although it was hardly unexpected, it's more than the usual 10 %. Any tips on keeping fees down? I have more stuff to sell, but I am a bit reluctant to put it on if I rake up another high bill.

Marking place as have been putting mine off waiting for a 'fee free weekend' but they've not had one for ages!

only list on free listing weekends, unless you are starting items at 99p. Host your own photos if they are charging you extra for pics

I always start at 99p, but it seems that after a certain amount (100, I think, there is a fee of 10p per listing. I am wondering when I can list free again?

12 photos are free in clothes and most other categories unless you tick enhanced options
listing fees vary on starting price 15p upto 4.99 25p upto 14.99 50p uptil 29.99 and £1 for most other stuff except cars property etc

books are less 10p

only 100 free listings per month at 99p, there is a free listing weekend each month but everybody lists then so paybe not get best price

BIN is 40p
a set starting time is 6p

fees on business accounts are different

Thanks, sarahtigh. I will wait a month till I get another 100 ads free then! And will avoid free listings weekends, good point.

I only use free listing weekends unless Im selling something that I know will be in high demand. Most of my stuff has one, maybe two bidders at most! Im not in an overly big rush to shift the stuff and I list it at the minimum price I want for each item, so it doesnt always sell first time round. Basically I want to pay no fees unless I sell an item.

I have had two free listing weekends a month for as long as I can remember, though last weekends was a private invite email, so maybe they are cutting it down a bit?

It is free listing this weekend (12th/13th Oct).
