eCheque

Sold an item this afternoon and the buyer has just paid by eCheque. I see Paypal and Ebay recommend I don't send until it's cleared.

What do most people do in this situation? I've already messaged the seller letting them know they paid by eCheque and that it won't clear for a few days but would most people send the item anyway?

Absolutely not, they can cancel it their end at any time. This happened to me after I had posted the item.

Same as ebayaholic says. eBay is scammers paradise so be very careful

Just message them to check that they meant to pay by echeque. Quite often it happens because someone's card has expired without them realising. Otherwise remind them that echeques take about 10 days to clear and you will post the item as soon as it has cleared. You can say that ebay do not recommend sending before this and that you are just going by ebay rules.

I had one recently and I worry that they will mark me down for P&P speed even though it is because of the echeque not me. My echeque buyer did not bother to reply to any of my messages and hasn't left feedback either.

Absolutely don't send anything till the money is in your account.
