if someone refunds you where does the money go

I bought an item a few weeks ago and it was faulty so seller sent another one and that was also faulty so they said they would refund but it may take a few days. Thats a week ago now, there is nothing showing on my paypal which is where i paid from, and nothing in my bank account. I can't check my credit card until the statement comes. If they refund where would the payment go back to?

If you paid by credit card it goes back on the card but it would show on your PayPal account that it had been refunded.

it will show in paypal and you will get an email - you may need to open a case, if 45 days have passed you will be too late. They could be stalling until that time has passed and then you won't be able to do anything.

i will email them again i only bought the original 5 Sept so plenty of time yet. It was only £2.99 so not the end of the world if i don't get it back.

they said sorry they've checked and not sure why but payment is showing as pending so they will reissue
