Have I been scammed?

I purchased two customised wooden carved door plaques for my children from an ebay seller - paying £22 for the two. I waited and they didn't arrive - the seller finally contacted me six weeks later saying there had been a problem (blamed her husband !) and said she would re-send them. Weeks later - nothing.

Now seller won't respond to emails and ebay wont let me put in a resolution claim as 45 days have elapsed. Furthermore, when I try and put in the item number, it says that the item no longer exists.

I'm wondering whether sellers email just prior to the 45 day limit was a way of delaying the process until too much time had elapsed for me to have had any recourse...

Any wise advice - other than for me to be more on the ball with regards to timescales next time?!

Very funny, NatashaBee Grin - you're right, 'tis a lesson learnt! The only reason I originally waited was because seller said it would take 3 weeks for items to be made and sent....even writing this is making me think 'idiot'!!!

If it was a credit card or debit card verified by visa you can file a chargeback and get your money back that way

You have 60 days to leave feedback so make sure you do so, and low stars if you want them to count.
