Is there anything I can do or are they going to screw me over?

Sold two items on eBay. Same bidder. Messaged to say would combine p&p, did they want a refund or an amended invoice. No reply.
Messages again re postage. No reply.
Said was posting paid item please let me know about unpaid. No reply.

Opened an unpaid case for unpaid item. Posted paid item (only small item, sold for pittance and postage first class stamp).
Closed unpaid case.

Have now received a message saying they've not had paid item and they bought two items so where's the second?!
I'm afraid I couldn't contain myself and basically said don't you dare try pulling a fast one.

I'm now thinking they're going to open an 'item not received' case with eBay and I've no proof of postage (I know I know). It's not a lot to refund but why should I? Can I do anything if they do? Can I contact eBay? They're already on my blocks list with negative feedback but what else can I do?

They paid for one but not both items?

the "fast one" comment won't do you any favours.
Ultra polite explanation like the are a dim loved one would have done you better.
Even if you had proof of posting they'd still be able to demand a refund but at least you could get compensation from Royal Mail.
Feel free to share their Ebay id, can pm me if you want.

Yep. Paid for one not the other.
I know, normally I wouldn't have said anything and kept it really polite but I'm just sick of messers on eBay.
To mess me about not buying one item then try and say they've not received the other? I'd rather they just not paid for either!
Can I dispute it with eBay if they do open a case?

they can only open a case for the paid item though - the unpaid item, you have closed the case and got your fvf refunded?

ImFineThankYou · 25/08/2013 20:54

Yes it's all closed and sorted for unpaid.

so she can only claim not received for the 1 item.

ImFineThankYou · 25/08/2013 21:28

I'm just concerned its a scam as surely they would have replied to my messages? And paid for the second item if they're now wondering where it is?!

well they can't query where it is when they haven't paid for it - sounds odd they would pay for one and not the other.

If they're saying they bought 2 items & where's the second? That wording implies that they know where the first one is, because the have received it.

Reply again saying that you have proof of postage for the first item & please that they have received it. And then say politely, you must've forgotten to pay for the second item & that's why they haven't revived it.

Excuse typos!
