I have used ebay in the past, many years ago, to sell old baby clothes. I am really poor at the moment and could really use some extra money to put away for Christmas. What sort of things sell well these days? I have lots of clothes, mine and DD's but they are all cheap New Look/Tesco/Primark stuff - all in good condition, but is there any point in listing them? Will they sell? What other sorts of things could I sell? Is it worth selling old CDs/DVDs? Do people still buy them?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'd be really grateful for any advice Smile.

Hi muminthecity

Some New Look & Primark women's wear can still sell ok - make sure it is clean & ironed and take good snaps to get the best price. List stuff for the autumn season as summer things won't go well now. You could try starting items at a bit higher start price on free listing days. New Look jeans are popular and seem to be going quite well now.

With the children's wear nice coats or shoes/boots/sports or school wear might sell now. Dressing up/Halloween items in late Sept. Party wear in early Nov.

I would be tempted to hang on to DVDs & toys and try and sell them nearer Xmas.

Postage has increased this year so be careful not to under estimate especially if you sell any bundles. Good luck. Hope that helps.

Thank you nickstmoritz, that's really helpful and good point about hanging on to some things until nearer Christmas, I hadn't thought of that.
