Best way to sell sylvanian families

My DD has enough of these things to set up her own shop and a tree house. She wants to sell them now but would she be better to sell them as a job lot with collection only (we live in a Northern city near Manchester and Liverpool) so lots of potential buyers nearby. Or should I ask package them up as families and sell them with the option of postage?
thanks

I would try collection only one big job lot. But I would probably try local FB selling pages first, to save on fees.

Sell them together on ebay, but leave it nearer to christmas as you will get more.
Also look into offering postage as well as pick up.

Package as families & list on Ebay from mid October onwards.
Local FB & Gumtree are useless for selling most things.

My local FB pages do a roaring trade, maybe it varies a lot. I've never used Gumtree.

I second waiting til nearer xmas, sylvanians sell well. A nice "property" with a load of bits and families would do well. If you kept the boxes even better. Maybe sell some bigger items separately eg barge, windmill or just go job lot for ease. Collection or offer to send courier which will increase amount of buyers.

and only take cash if collected, never ever paypal either on ebay or gumtree, FB etc.

Are the kidscarboot any good for you? Google them there is one in Saddleworth and ne in Cheadle monthly.

Why not paypal LilyBlossom? I'm an ebay virgin, but keep meaning to get onto it. Is paypal dodgy?

LilyBossom · 20/08/2013 18:11

because a buyer can pay, collect then file a not received dispute and paypal will refund them as you have no online proof of delivery.

I would wait until at least October and list them all as separate sets on eBay, saying you will combine postage for multiple purchases. Do you have the boxes? I sold the Primrose Nursery and Primrose Park boxed, complete except for some minor bits, a couple of years ago and got about 2/3 of what I paid for them. The smaller sets I listed separately with BIN and someone bought all 3 almost immediately - I guess I priced them too low!

If you have any of the larger houses, you might want to advertise them locally on Gumtree for collection.
