Can I add a reserve amount after I've listed?

I'm a selling on eBay newbie. Just listed an item and realised I forgot to put a reserve amount on. I've tried to edit it, but still can't find a reserve option Confused

Am I just too late ?

yes, if there are no bids. You scroll down and under the item starting price click on No reserve price set for this item.Change reserve price and you can add it there.

You may be better ending the item in the evening though, daytime listings attract less bidders.

The auction hasn't started yet, I've put it on ready to start this evening Wink

There is definitely no option on the edit screen at the moment. I can change the time / dates, the start price and add Buy it now.

Maybe I'll be able to do it when it is 'live' this evening.

Thanks for your help LilyBlossom

ok - well to save your 6p edit the auction to go live before the scheduled start time - even if it is just minutes before.

Sorry, I don't understand that at all Blush

you have scheduled the auction to go live tonight and it is costing you 6p to do that?

I am listing another item at the moment and on the price / date page and there is no option for Reserve.

This is a C&P from the page.

Don't start this listing now. You can choose when you want it to start.(listing fees: +£0.06)
Start time: at BST

Is it because I'm new at selling & still in the 3 months beginners category?

Confused

Sorry LilyBlossom, didn't see you response there. Yes I am paying 6p, don't mind that, as won't be around when I want the auctions starting.

There should be an option to change to a reserve price auction immediately under the start price when you edit the listing although it's not very obvious.

If it's not there the only alternative I can think of is to send the listing live now, end it immediately and start again although you will pay the listing fee to do this.
