Ebay buyer from Israel

I sold an item and the buyer informed me that he is from Israel and that I need to send him an invoice for the item and that it would be £3-4. I have never sent an ebay parcel before. I have always refused to send abroad when asked to do so because I cannot be bothered to do so. And I have never given that as a postage option.

Also sending this parcel in the UK would cost about £4 so I don't understand how it would be cheaper to send abroad. I know I can invoice him. Bloody pissed off. What should I do?

to block such bidders in future.

This thread outlines your options. Don't offer to cancel, probably report them for unwelcome bidding & start an unpaid item dispute.

I've sent an order (not ebay) to Israel, the postage was normal airmail postage.

But, I think they must have really strict customs as the customer asked me to include an invoice for £xxx and not include the actual sale invoice.

I sell a lot worldwide and this the the only request I have received like that.

I've just had the same - item won by someone outside the UK (and I thought I'd blocked those bids, but apparently not). They haven't paid, and I've contacted them to ask if they have a UK address on Paypal - nothing. Going to open unpaid seller case as soon as 2 days is up.

I'm waiting on someone else to pay (£2!) too - I love eBay but with the faff of people not paying and then the fees on postage I'm going to have to find an alternative...

Oh and now she's replied saying it's no problem to ship abroad and telling me how to amend my invoice. I know how to, but I don't want to and my listing details said GB only. I feel your pain OP.

What's the reporting for unwelcome bids about?

sarahtigh · 13/08/2013 22:21

that is for reporting bids that break or circumnavigate rules; bidding from israel when you did not block overseas bidders is not against ebay rules and reporting will get you nowhere as bidder is entitled to bid and ask for an invoice after winning.

Do not start a not paid dispute without invoicing as all they have to do is pay and then you have to send and as you have not added correct postage will have to do so at a loss; or risk being a non performing seller; so my advice is to look up price to post to israel and invoice

parcels to israel do not go missing it is reliable it will cost the same as going to USA world zone 1
