Have some lovely children's Mini Boden, Joules and John Lewis winter coats to sell. When is the best time to list them? I am desperate for a good clear out and want the extra storage space but at the same time I want to get a good price for them so I can the money towards new winter clothes for my children. Is August too early to list this type of item? Many thanks.

August is the worst time to list. I used to buy snowsuits in August for this very reason!
Worthwhile to wait until we've had a good cold spell, but no later than late November.

Okay, thank you! Have put up with them for the last few months so I'm sure I can manage another month or two!

I always sell all my winter stuff in September and it always sells well. I you wait until it gets too cold then everyone will already have got their winter stuff.

I'd say September too, once the kids are back at school and people's thoughts turn to autumn onwards.

That said myself and the DC's are all set for winter as I brought it all for peanuts when everyone was buying summer stuff Wink

Good point! Are eBay likely to have a free listing weekend in September?

Yes they probably will. It's free listing this weekend and its been free listing every other weekend for ages now.
