Cancel payment through eBay and pay direct into PayPal account? What should I do?

I have bought a coat on eBay and the sellers PayPal isn't linked up to eBay she would like me to cancel that payment and pay her direct through PayPal. Am I still covered by eBay? Should I do it?

she can just add the email address you paid to into her paypal a/c and accept the payment anyway?

Your covered by PayPal just click the option goods and services not friends and family as your not covered for that option. I will also confirm as paid on the eBay listing manually and that should cover you

the payment you have made - is it showing as unclaimed? If so she just needs to add that email address to her paypal and then the money will be there for her. No need to go round the houses like this.

Yes..it was showing up unclaimed! I then cancelled the transaction and I now have my money in my PayPal account! I was then going to transfer as she wanted but thought maybe it was a bit dodgy!?

you are still covered by paypal, but there was no need for you to cancel it, you could have asked the seller to just accept the payment by adding that email address into their paypal a/c.
