Sold an item on eBay for £300. PayPal are holding payment until buyer states ok. This bit I'm fine with in a sense although it does leave me open to get shafted. What I don't like is the fact that they say it can take up to 21 days to get the funds? ( min 7)
The item was sent parcel force 24 so no need for this? Is it just profiteering for PayPal- again!Confused

But put yourself in the buyers shoes. It does put off a lot of scammers. Money is usually held until feedback is left so as soon as your buyer leaves you feedback the funds should be released. It doesn't leave you 'open to get shafted' at all. If buyer doesn't leave feedback the money will be released anyway. If there is a problem the money wouldn't be returned to the buyer until he proved you had received the item back.

Personally I think its a great thing, anything that makes eBay that little bit safer is fine by me.

Thank you for your reply. I'm all for being fair on the buyer, I just didn't like the way it states 21 days and a minimum of 7 that's all.

And if I can be assured of the item being returned before money being returned then its all good.

Just read like doom and gloom on the PayPal email that's all.
