Probably my fault it happened, but i won something a travel cot for my son last week, my mum had heard me talking about getting 1 and so went and bought me a brand new one.

She gave it to me on the day i was supposed to collect this other 1 from a local buyer but i emailed and explained, said i was sorry, didnt even get a reply, then today shes left me horrible feedback in positive box, should i just leave it? I buy quite a bit from ebay so sooner than later it would drop off the page, or should i just report it, any ideas how though? ive clicked on request feedback revision and it says you have no feedback to revise, Ive so far resisted temptaion to leave negative feedback for her Smile

So you won it, but then said you didn't want it anymore? Sorry to be harsh but not surprised you got negative feedback if that's the case, if the seller has to relist they'll have to pay fees again.

OK they could have contacted you before leaving it but they were probably pretty pissed off, I certainly would be.

When you confirm your bid you get a message telling you you're entering into a contract with the seller. Don't think you've got a leg to stand on to be honest.

Yep, i did all that which ive just said above, said sorry but to be fair its not like i won it, then went out and bought 1 myself, somebody bought it for me so of course im going to accept that and not need 2 of the same thing, if somebody did it to me yeah id be pissed off too, but i wouldnt go 3 days fuming then leave the feedback shes left me, and yes it isnt right to leave a negative in a positive box, so it can be removed, i just asked for help to find out the link to do it.

As a seller she has no choice but to leave a "positive" though, the only option she has is to give you a positive rating and then give you a negative comment. Which incidentally it sounds like you deserve (sorry). I would be really pissed off if you did that to me and would want some warning about it - I don't think she has done anything wrong.

It's against the rules to leave a negative comment under a positive feedback though. Sellers can't leave negatives at all. So whilst the OP is in the wrong, (as she admits) the seller can't do anything other than leave a positive or leave no feedback at all.

Thanks picnic, been in touch with ebay and they have just removed it, while ive admitted i was in the wrong she shouldnt of left a negative in place of a positive which it does say in the rules and as an avid seller i know ive wanted to many a time but havent.

Buyers are allowed to change their minds, them's the rules.
And seller wouldn't be out a penny in this situation.
Buyers who can't be asked to read the listing properly & then arse the seller around, they deserve Negs.
