Best day to list

I want to list a couple of pairs of shoes but I don't know which day and time is best for the auctions to end.

Also can anyone tell me which is the cheapest way of posting the shoes?

I always end my auctions on Sunday evenings. I think you get more bidders and watchers then. Be warned about postage, since the rm price hike and rule changes, most shoes except flats cost £5.20 to post! Not sure there's any cheaper option tbh.

MY Hermes is a bit cheaper I think, and ParcelMonkey.co.uk too.

I too get listings to end on a Sunday evening.

Thanks I will aim for sunday night and look at other postage options - £5.20 is extortionate I don't see how rm can justify these prices!

I find ending Mon or Tues night about 8-9pm is best. I send MyHermes, £3.30 if under 1kg and online proof of delivery. Far cheaper than RM plus they collect too.

fergoose have you experimented with different times/days?

I find ebay so odd, I once bought an item off there for 99p and everytime the same item has come up again (that I have seen) in the same area it has fetched £15+ Hmm

Yes I have - and I always avoided Sundays as that was always the time when ebay ran slowest plus I think more people are home Mon or Tues evening.

If you are wanting to attract US bidders evening is not the best time to end your auctions, but I won't ever end items during the day if wanting UK buyers, waste of time and massively limiting your audience. I have always bought bargains around school run time - that seems the worst daytime time to list items.

I kept track of sales of a specialist child's item for a year, and Friday evenings were best prices. Sat & Weds joint second. So I favour Fridays or Wednesdays.
