Why do people 'lie' on eBay?!

For example, a girls skirt being sold as "bought for my daughter but she didn't like it as she's a tomboy, so sadly selling".....then when I look at her other listings she has the same skirt in sizes aged 2-9, all individual listings!

Not a biggie, and not illegal but it does make me chuckle. Do they think people don't look at other listings?

I mean, I suppose she could have fallen in love with said skirt and bought it in 8 different sizes for her dd, but really?! WinkGrin

I think it just makes me a bit wary about what else they may 'lie' about...

well they should be registered as a business with ebay and hmrc if they are selling multiple items they have bought to sell on.

Somehow Fergoose, the 'poor mummy with a tomboy' story makes me think its not a registered business...

Oh well!
