Are there ANY parcel delivery services that are any good at all?

I've been ruthlessly surfing for reviews and ideas because I want to sell some toys on eBay which are quite bulky and will probably be over the 2kg limit. Royal Mail is really quite pricy now, so I started to check out other delivery options.

myHermes seem to be a shower of numpties- loads of bad reviews, all quite recent, which makes me think it's not worth the trouble of using them.

CollectPlus seems to be a bit better but there are still lots of disgruntled people out there who've used them and regretted it.

Is there a service available that won't play football with my parcel before throwing it into a hedge and ignoring me and my buyer's complaints? Or is it all luck of the draw now?

Thanks for any advice anyone may have on this!

I have found MyHermes faultless tbh - never had any problems, same with Collect+

I've never had any problems with either, either (!) Smile

I think it does depend on your local delivery driver though. Mine has called here so many times Blush, he knows when I'm likely to be in or will leave any parcels with my neighbour.

Also, I've just used ParcelForce, through Interparcel for quite a good price and they have a cheaper price if you drop it at the depot which is better for me because it means I don't have to wait in all day for it to be collected.

Thanks, I'll look at Parcelforce.

Aren't Collect+ the new name for Yodel?
