Changing postage

I have sold some items and offered fee postage.
On my listing the postage is described as RM 1st class.
Having posted an item this morning. I realise that the first class postage will probably cost more than was bid for the item.
So I'm considering sending it second class.
Is this ok? What do you think?

no not really - you will have to cover the cost yourself and give them what you quoted.

I guess I thought it was ok as I didn't charge for postage. I just listed it on the default option for postage.

So, what I mean is, the cost remains the sme, there was no additional postage fee and the only difference is that it will arrive a day or two later.

This is tougher than I was expecting.

I would have just send it 2nd class.
