Won item but reserve not met - what now?

As the title says really, I bid on a car seat base and was the highest bidder for it at the end of the auction, but it says that the reserve has not been met, so what happens now? Do I win it or does the seller relist or something else?

Never had this happen before, so I'm a bit clueless! :)

Nope, nothing happens. U don't get it as reserve wasn't met.

Seller might relist.

Nobody has won if the deserve has not been met. When you placed the bid it should've come up on the screen that you hadn't placed a high enough bid. Seems an odd item to put a reserved price on...usually high value items.
They will probably relist, or you could contact them and ask if they would accept your offer as it was the highest. Worth a go.

OK thanks - annoying, as I'd checked completed auctions of the same item to see what they normally go for, and my bid was completely within range for final selling prices.

Ah well, will try another one instead. Thanks.

They are probably wanting more than they will realistically get.
