we are always short of money. I'm not working at the moment which is part of the problem but I'm looking. Is it possible to make up money shortfalls by selling on ebay and what sort of stuff is it best to start with?

Branded clothes have sold well for me in the past, Boden, Jack Wills, etc. Tbh, though, stuff doesn't sell like it used to.

all sorts really old trikes from when the dc were little - youngest now five. Old pushchairs well used though. Baby and children's clothes would i be better off with a car boot for those though? Old books oh and old train engines from my dh misspent youth! His dad is into model trains! Dh said I can sell some of them. Also various baby stuff in the loft like Moses basket.

Personally I'd start with the bigger and garden/outdoor toys ASAP, you will get more money for it before it goes quiet for the summer, and make a bit of space.

Clothes are hard work if not Boden and other select brands.

does it matter too much that some of the outdoor toys have been well used? Will it affect peoples rating of me as a seller?

As long as you are honest with your description and use photo's that show their condition then you should be ok. If you list something as good condition and the buyer thinks it's battered to buggery or if you don't mention broken parts/marks etc you won't be popular.

Just be completely honest and price accordingly.
