BNWT- how much do you trust this?

I've got my eye on a few items of clothing which are listed as BNWT and the pic shows the tag. However, they are from a brand where the tags are fastened with a safety pin- Jigsaw- and I know how easy it would be to keep the tag, wear the item once or a couple of times, then pop label back on. Not that I ever have!

Is there a polite way of asking the buyer the question, or do you just assume they may not be honest?

I would normally assume it had at least been tried on, maybe worn once, but if they are selling as bnwt you shouldn't be able to tell, no deodorant/ perfume scent or marks
