Can someone please help me with postage prices?

I have a pair of walking boots I want to sell on ebay but dont know what the postage would be.

Does anyone know how much roughly it would be to post it royal mail second class? Do parcels go on size, weight or both?

The parcel would be shoe box sized, and they are quite heavy.

if under 1kg Myhermes would be £3.30, Collect+ £3.99 - plus you have proof of delivery which is better than RM untracked 2nd class.

Thanks fergoose I have just weighed them and they are 2.7kg, £13.25 with royal mail! Think myhermes is the way to go thanks.
