Sellers! What percentage of your buyers leave Feedback?

Am selling quite well on ebay, Posting within 1 working day (often will post it out on the same day), always mark item as dispatched, leave the buyer positive feedback fairly swiftly, don't over charge on postage.

But I'm finding only a handful of people bother to leave any feedback? Do buyers not bother as much now?

It's a shame because my account is fairly new but I have so it would be good to build up feedback. Any tips?

Hi, generally I find about 40-50% of buyers leave feedback. it's pants!!
I don't leave any feedback now as a seller until the buyer has left feedback beforehand. However, as a buyer I will always leave feedback.

Perhaps it's because more people buy via their phone apps and it's too much hassle to type the feedback on a phone?

I would say about 70% of my buyers leave feedback, possibly higher than that. I do find that there can be a long delay between purchase & feedback sometimes - so maybe be more patient!

I always leave positive feedback for the buyers if they've paid in good time though, so maybe that encourages them to reciprocate?

As a buyer myself, I will always leave feedback for a quickly posted item that arrives as described. Not sure what to suggest, other than wait a bit longer.

I'm guessing about 40%. I don't mind as long as it's fair.

As a buyer I hate leaving f/back. DSRs are so complicated to do accurately (I do not want to keep detailed records of every transaction). So I only leave verbal comments, almost never leave DSR f/back.

Yes I would say I'm getting about 40% too. Hopefully some people will do it a bit later on! I will carry on leaving buyers feedback straight away in the hopes they reciprocate!

My BIN's are set to pay straight away so buyers have no choice but to give prompt payment!

I would say now, about 60% leave feedback. It used to be a LOT higher - more like 90% for me. I've noticed a drop in feedback over the last year or so. I agree, think it is more to do with people accessing ebay via apps and not the main site.

Also on the main site the layout has changed a few times and unless you've set your main screen (or whatever) to show purchases you have to actively look for them. Because of this I also forget to leave feedback especially if I am not buying much.

I would say about half don't bother

I can't say it worries me - it is voluntary and is not an integral part of the transaction.

SNOWBall4girlz · 13/05/2013 17:16

I am about the same about 40 - 50 % leave feedback. i wait for a buyer to give me feedback then leave mine.

i used to be worried that they did not like the item but to be honest the buyers that are not happy are the ones that you hear from first. The rest I think it is not high on their priority list.
