I've sold an item then received a message asking me to ship to a different address. I just wondered if there was any reason I shouldn't do this? Thanks

You should only ship to the address on PayPal to be covered by PayPal protection. If its a high value item then I wouldn't risk it. If its something just a couple of quid I have done it.

It's £26 so not insignificant, thanks for your help.

I have often asked for this, eg bought a pram while staying with my mum, bought a high chair while stating at ILs etc. (I live outside uk and it's a good way to get cheap baby gear). Perhaps ask them why. They might have a good reason.

if they want to add the alternative address as a gift address they can - you will need to refund their paypal, then they can repay you selecting the alternative gift address - you will then be covered. make sure you send it with a signature though and add that tracking number to paypal.

I have had to do this. We live in Malaysia. So many things have gone missing en route to our flat I now have anything important sent to DHs work.
