Have a pram listed have had loads of messages about it but no bids.
If I reduce the price will it start bidding off or should I just wait it out?

Hate the suspense!

But fergoose if you have already transferred funds into your own bank account then the money is yours or am I missing something??

fergoose · 14/03/2013 14:22

no it makes absolutely no difference. A case will just put your paypal account into negative balance, and if you don't repay it paypal will pursue you for the money. I have heard they use pretty grim debt collectors.

A buyer has 45 days to claim not received, so the money isn't really yours until that time has passed.

Flossiechops · 14/03/2013 14:22

Sorry fergoose just read your explanation - hadn't realized people did that sort of thing Shock

fergoose · 14/03/2013 14:23

So Notso, 4 days from now when the buyer has not paid in full in cash you are going to open a non paying bidder case in the resolution centre, then 4 days later you can close the case and get your fees back, and relist at a better time of day or offer to the underbidder.

PoppadomPreach · 14/03/2013 14:28

No instalments, no buyer-arranged courier. Never.

Listen to fergoose - she is spot on.

notso · 14/03/2013 14:35

Is that really what I should do fergoose would I get bad feedback from her because I said it was OK?

OP posts:
fergoose · 14/03/2013 14:38

no - a non paying bidder case means they can't leave feedback

End of the day what would you rather bad feedback or lose your money?

notso · 14/03/2013 14:39

My other item is currently being 'won' by someone with loads of feedback saying didn't pay. Can I do anything about that?

OP posts:
fergoose · 14/03/2013 14:40

yes - add her to your blocked bidder list

If I were you I would end your auctions - change them to cash on collection only, and relist at the weekend when it is free listing. List them at about 8.30pm to 9pm of an evening.

notso · 14/03/2013 14:41

I know what you mean fergoose I am too trusting of people.

OP posts:
notso · 14/03/2013 14:42

Can I end them if they have bids on?

OP posts:
fergoose · 14/03/2013 14:46

yes if there are more than 12 hours left - if not you can just cancel bids.

notso · 14/03/2013 14:52

Sorry for pestering, cancel bids then end the sale?

OP posts:
fergoose · 14/03/2013 14:56

no under 12 hours you can't end the auction, you can only cancel bids.
