how do I make money on ebay and use it etc

I have just listed an item on ebay and I was wondering how do people make money out of ebay?

for example I have a lot of baby clothes some have never been worn, should I list them as a bundle or separately ?? are pics essential??

is it all worth the time and effort really??

one time two years a go I listed an item and then was part of a paypal scam and even though I never received payment and a case was opened etc, I think ebay still charged me £20 for sellers fees whats that about??

do you still get charged seller fees if your item doesn't sell?

pics are essential - but unless you have named brands/good makes you won't make good money selling used baby clothes.

You get charged listing fees, and if it sells final value and paypal fees also.

I'm giving eBay up actually. It's a pita and not cheap. Plus there seem to be hardly any decent normal buyers, and a lot of scammers!! Boot sale it instead, unless its worth a considerable amount. Them gumtree it

unless good makes like boden. monsoon and gap etc new with tags I would not bother

if item does not sell you will still be charged listing fees if start at 99p these are 0 anyway photos in baby section are an extra 12p, in children 2+ they are free

you only get charged final value and paypal fees if it actually sells

good photos are essential

personally i don't think it is worth selling anything at 99p

Wait for the next free listing weekend and list them at a starting price above 99p - the lowest value you are prepared to sell them for. If they don't sell them, you don't lose any money. You can then relist them on the next free listing weekend.
