Trying to pay by paypal

I bought a Buy It Now item on Wednesday. I selected the 'Pay by credit card' option and it said she would contact me.

She has done but she says she doesn't have the credit card payment facility set up yet so I have to do it by PayPal, which is fine, but it's not appearing as an item on the item at all. There isn't even an option to mark as paid if I was going to send a cheque/postal orer as she originally suggested. (I can't do either of these anyway so it's irrelevant)

Am I doing it wrong or does she have to set paypal as an option on the item? She hasn't been very pleassant so far so don't want to piss her off and end up with no item.

is this you buying as a guest user, or are you registered with ebay? It seems very odd. Is the item in the list of items you have won?

I've used eBay quite a bit as a registered user, I didn't know it could be done any other way. I've never had any problems before.

It is showing in my items won, but without the 'Paid' stamp on it.

so you need to click on the pay now and pay normally through paypal?

It's a bit suspect when people try to get paid outside eBay. What's the item number, we can scrutinise the seller.

I've been doing it on the laptop and couldn't see the 'pay now' option.

Just done it on my iPhone and get this:

Checkout error: this item is no longer available for purchase (102)

Is it me or has it been set up wrong by the seller?

the item has ended - but is still there so not been removed. I can't see it has been set up wrong - have you marked it as paid? If so unmark as paid then checkout normally with paypal

but their feedback is pretty rubbish - and they only used stock photo, not pic of the actual item

I would buy elsewhere if it were me

and their 'no returns after 2 weeks' is nonsense, you have 45 days to open a not as described claim
