Am I being suspicious for no reason?

I bought/won an item today and paid promptly by paypal. Checked in this evening and had 4 messages from seller asking that I cancel paypal payment and make money payment instead as they had misspelt something on paypal account.

I have emailed back saying I have cancelled as asked, but would prefer to pay by paypal.

I am cautious about paying in any other way than paypal, but not sure why. (Not very clued up on ebay I'm afraid) The amount in question is less than 20 quid, so if I was being scammed its hardly worth it.

So, should I just do as I have been asked or am I right to be wary?

Stick with paying with PayPal. It is possible to cock up with receiving payments by something like a spelling error but PayPal is the most secure way. Tell them you have cancelled the transaction and will wait for their confirmation before sending the payment again. You can send money to their email address via PayPal so perhaps suggest that.
It goes without saying that you shouldn't give any bank details and obviously you run the risk of losing money in the post. A cheque should be secure though.
