Preloved - buyer not received item

My buyer has not received my item sold 2 weeks after posting.

This is preloved not ebay. The buyer paid through paypal.

Unfortunately my DH sent the item (first class) and can't find the proof of postage (I know I know).

I have a gut feeling this buyer is trying it on - but I'm assuming I have no rights? What happens now?

Paypal buyer protection still applies.

Normally I say grovel to get them to wait for it to turn up; snow has disrupted many deliveries.

If you had to refund then claiming back from Royal Mail is easy enough with PoP (no good to you, I know).

How much did you sell for?

it was £20 - quite a lot to us at the moment. I'll see how it pans out I guess but I don't think I've really got a leg to stand on unless we turn house upside down for the PoP!
