I bid on a coat which wasn't made of of the fabric it was described as - seller made a mistake on the listing. Although he said he doesn't offer refunds I emailed him and he now says he will refund but he will not pay my return postage, leaving me out of pocket by a fiver!

Under these circumstances does the seller have to refund return postage- it's not that I've changed my mind or whatever, just that I would never have bid if it had been described correctly

open a not as described case in ebay, tick the box marked other and write in next to it refund

then once escalated ebay will give a no fault refund without the cost of a return

then you can leave appropriate feedback and stars

the seller does not have to pay the return postage but in this case I think they should as the item was not as described
