PayPal Refunds

I have just sold something which stipulated cash on collection, but the buyer has paid by Paypal. If I refund them now, I will incur costs, all because the buyer didn't read the advert properly.
Is there anyway to avoid the charges? Should he contribute towards them as it was jot my fault.
I want the cash on collection to avoid him retrieving his money down the line.
Help!!!

what charges? paypal fees are refunded aren't they, all but 20p isn't it?

the 20p transaction fee will not be refunded, 20p is worth it as you should NEVER EVER take paypal for collection

Afraid you have to suck up the 20p loss, OP.
