What most folk do is go thru the sorting websites (like Myhermes or Parcel2go, Parcelmonkey) and they will give you a list of carriers & prices to choose from.

State the dimensions & weight & I can tell you what I'd probably do.

GrumpySod · 03/01/2013 17:20

Oh and value, how much would it cost to replace?

DillyDallyDayDream · 03/01/2013 17:25

Someone's asked me to look at couriering in a Icandy Pear chassis
l -81.3 x w - 60 x h- 98.5 and is 10.kg. measurements are without packaging

I'd call it 12 kg, add on 10cm to each dimension and get a quote out of Parcel2go for 3 day delivery. Folk hate Yodel, btw, so try to avoid them if you easily can. Make sure the default insurance is enough for your needs. I'm thinking maybe £12, tops?

I used My Hermes for sending a pushchair - really good service and good value. From memory it cost about £10 - that was dropping it off at one of the shops.

woahh looked at parcel2go and £66! Dont think so

Not senditnow. They are cheap but their website is awful and takes your money without confirming booking or giving you labels to print. I've used them three times and have had to fight for a refund twice.

Can you get the chassis to fold any smaller? IME of selling a ridiculous number of buggies, the dimensions seem quite big and that is probably why you got such a high quote.

The company I used calculated it as follows - length + widthx2 + depthx2 = no more than 300cms.

sarahtigh · 04/01/2013 13:22

yes couriers get more if length, bradth and height are more than 1.5m in total

tazmo · 05/01/2013 11:09

Parcelmonkey every time! Generally less than a tenner

queenebay · 05/01/2013 19:15

Click plus is where you drop it off at a local shop. Much cheaper

fergoose · 05/01/2013 20:12

too big for Collect Plus

sarahtigh · 05/01/2013 21:58

collect plus is only cheapest under 5kg and the max dimensions are fairly small about 50x40x30cm
