Buyer not happy - should I just refund

Hi there

I sold a duvet cover on Ebay at the beginning of December which I described as good used condition. It has been washed a lot and was a bit faded. I posted it on 3rd Dec

Have just received an email from the buyer saying she is very disappointed in the condition as the photo makes it look bright and it is actually faded. She said she didn't think it was good enough for the second hand market but didn't say what she wanted me to do.

What do I do now - tell her to send it back and I'll refund her? Would that include both sets of postage? Or should I just tell her that she can keep it but offer her a partial refund?

Any advice gratefully received. Many thanks

yes tell her to send it back for a full refund - don't refund anything until you receive it back

partial refund is your choice - is that what she is asking for?

Agree with fergoose.

No she's not asked for anything, I was just thinking of what I might do with it. OK I'll ask her to send it back.

Thanks for your help.

you could offer a partial refund, it is up to you. ebay would never enforce that, they would always tell you to refund the buyer after the item has been returned.
