Item won by non-UK bidder when I stated post to UK only

Clearly stated in my preferences I post to UK only, yet item has been won by German bidder. I didn't think bidders would be able to bid. Postage I quoted was for UK. What would you do?

When this happens, I check out what the extra postage would be, then email them and explain that the auction stated UK only, but I will post to them if they will pay the extra. it doesnt usually cost too much more, depends on weight.

It's impossible to fully track a parcel to a non uk address unless by courier ( like DHL or similar). So if you're prepared to get the costings for that, I'd do that and let the buyer know. Otherwise you need to cancel the transaction through eBay so that you get your fees refunded and then relist.
It's infuriating when that happens! Such a waste of time.

Thank you. The buyer has contacted me to offer to pay for International Signed For. It's just a pain as I clearly said UK only.

You can exclude international bidders when you list -worth doing if you're not willing to post overseas.

Thanks urgent That's one of the reasons I'm surprised. My preferences say to block bidders in countries I don't post to.
