if a buyer gives beg feedback normal to send narky emails?

hello,

ive recently given my neg feedback, as I was not happy and seller ignored communication.
since I left the neg feedback I've had numerous messages demanding I change it and threatening to leave me bad feedback in return. should I change the feedback? tbh might just so seller leaves me alone, is this what all sellers do? can I stop him messaging me somehow?

They cannot leave you negative feedback, they can leave good or neutral only. They could leave neutral and a nasty comment but you could then report them to eBay who would remove the comment.

If you have a genuine reason to be unhappy, I do not think you should retract the negative feedback. My only reply to them would be to say they are harrassing you and you are therefore reporting them to eBay, and then report them. Hope that helps.

I had two non-payers recently and have been afraid to give negative feedback on case the sellers in question get snarky.

Why did you leave negative feedback in the first place? Was it just a lack of communication or was there a real problem? The item being broken & the Seller refusing to take it back etc?

If there was a real, genuine, good reason for leaving negative feedback that DO NOT be bullied into trying to have it cancelled. I would simply reply "I am not prepared to enter into any further discussion with you and have reported your harrassment to eBay".

If however, with hindsight, you have been rather harsh with your negative then ask to have it cancelled for that reason only.

first thing you do is add these people to your blocked bidder list. That way they can't bid on your stuff and leave you negative fb in retaliation.

They shouldn't have ignored you if they genuinely cared about their feedback...that's a stupid thing to do when a buyer is unhappy. It could have been sorted out.

Don't engage with them, report them to ebay for harassment, and don't remove your feedback for them.

Did you open a case and get your money back?

no I didn't open a case, as I can cope with the problem and need the item. I sent a request to replace a broken part, was ignored, bought one seperatly and left neg feedback a month later after still no response. I don't sell on eBay so not too worried, but people really seem to dislike buyers and this seller is livid with the feedback I left. If he'd responded in the first instance and refused to replace the broken part, I probably would have left neutral feedback as on close inspection, though the description said like new and undamaged, if I'd really really looked at the picture I would have seen the fault. But he ignored me and sold me an item not as described as far as I am concerned. that seems fair to me.

a seller can't leave you a neg or a neg comment on a positive rating

report their threats to ebay - do not be bullied

feedback is your opinion of the transaction to which you are entitled - they can not make threats to make you change the feedback.

I would open a not as described case with ebay too if I were you
