how do i place an automatic bid?

you know that automatically ups your bid (to a maximum price)? i have seen people that do this on auctions that i have run, but have no idea how to do it myself. i have been outbid twice already today!!!

you bid your highest, then if others bid you up ebay continues bidding on your behalf

the best thing though is to bid once, bid your highest and bid as late as possible - like in the last 7 seconds or less if you can

thanks for that. i might wait out until the end of the auction and bid then. its for an isabella oliver top - they are going for quite a bit at the mo if any has any to sell!!!

bid an odd amount, like £7.64 rather than £7.60, and if an item is ending during the day you will hopefully have less competition.
