Item went missing, not delivered - Help!!

Hi DH sold an iPhone, posted it recorded and signed for. It has not arrived after 15 days!! How does DH refund buyer and avoid fee? What is the right procedure to follow?

Unfortunately not insured for full value, but that's another story....

will have to refund buyer via the original payment in paypal and claim from royal mail, but recorded only covers up to £46 - will they pay out if under insured? I'm not sure.

what does he do on EBay - can he cancel the transaction?

yes from the resolution centre - refund buyer first, then send the cancellation request. buyer can refuse it if they want to be awkward then you wouldn't get your fvf refunded.
