Argh - buyer problems and returning postage

Just sold a brand new craft set. Buyer emails today to say she isn't happy with it; it's not new, and she wants to return it.

Fine, I say, but you pay return postage.

No, she has opened a case against me and wants me to pay return postage because item wasn't described properly. I stand by my description - item was new and immaculate. She says eBay always find in favour of buyer - but the last tume I opened a case as a buyer, eBay found for the seller and I had to pay return postage to return knaclered trainers that had been misdescribed! So what will happen???? Bloody eBay.

The buyer will have to pay return postage, eBay won't make a seller do this. As you're happy for them to return it, eBay will find in their favour to do this but it will be the standard rules that you refund in full (original postage the buyer paid included) but that they buyer pays for return via trackable method.

but if it is faulty and you don't give her the return postage costs too she will prob leave bad feedback and stars

Is it possible it got damaged in transit? Or could she be returning a different item.

Fergoose, she says the box looks old - which is definitely is not. I asked her to take pics and send them to me, but apparently her camera isn't working. I did wonder if she'd send me another one. But what's the point for a £10 craft kit?? Plus, she hasn't said it's faulty, just that it doesn't look new. It was well packed and wrapped in bubble wrap so should be OK.

well she has to return it in the condition in which it was sent, and once you check your security marks you can process her refund. That is what I would say to her anyway.

She has just closed the case - no reason, no email. Good job!
