Under estimated postage, auction ends in 5 days

I have under estimated the postage, I had checked the postage calculator and assumed I would be able to send as a large letter rather than a parcel (it is to be sent in a large padded letter). I took it to the PO today to check and get it stamped and they are saying it is too thick for large letter. Can I amend postage on listing or anyway round this? I will only lose £1.20 but am not expecting this item to go for more than a couple of pounds so it has been a total waste of time. It my own stupid mistake I know, do I just accept the loss? Any advice welcome, thanks.

If there are no bids on it you can amend the listing as it has more than 12 still to run

what does it matter if they are, they can't give you feedback if they don't buy it

I would just accept it and learn to be careful next time, it's happened to me as well. Too much hassle to relist and then you get the listing fee twice.

if you just cancel the bid then amend you will not get 2nd listing fee, you still have 3 days at least there is only 1 bidder, you could just email them but it depends no point in selling anything at a loss unless you are trying to build up a business and initial feedbakc really matters

I won something this week and the seller had got the postage wrong and emailed me asking me to pay a bit more - I didn't mind at all - I understood she had made a mistake and paid the difference.

I'm sure most people would understand.
