Question about selling 'preloved' cloth nappies

Hello,

I have a bundle of cloth nappies, wraps, liners & inserts I want to sell. Have listed on local Facebook pages & used nappy site but nothing doing so far. It has been mentioned that I could list them on Ebay as new BUT put preloved in the description. I have seen a couple on there, but I'm a bit worried about it.

I have bought used cloth nappies in the past - and I guess if it states that, then the bidder isn't buying under false pretenses. Are Ebay likely to take me outside and shoot me if I do that? Or do you think it would be okay? I would make very clear in the description that they are used. They are all clean though and I'm not selling any that are stained or too old.

You would run of risk of someone reporting you and the listing would be removed. But it looks like many get through if you look at completed listings.

Thank you. If the listing was removed would that effect my overall account at all? Because if it doesn't then I may as well give it a go.

I would try to avoid a word like preloved, I imagine Ebay searches for that.
You can say something oblique, like "they were previously useful to keep a single baby's bottom clean for 9 months and performed well, still in vgc".

You run the risk of a slap on the wrist, though. Technically the ban on used cloth nappies is buried quite deep in the policies so easy enough to claim ignorance.

Xpost, I was told that you get a strike & a single strike is nothing to worry about.

I sold a whole load of pre-loved nappies on ebay this week. The bundles went better than the individual ones. Some went for prices much lower than I had hoped. I'd suggest you look at the completed listings (using advanced search) to see what prices the ones you are selling have gone for in the past. Its difficult to know what starting price to put, too high you get no bids, too low, you only get a few quid for something that cost much more... [fracking ebay emoticon!].

Use Collect plus as a courier, it is cheaper for parcels over 750g than royal mail.
