Neutral feedback

I've been reading on here for a while , but never actually posted .
I've been selling personal items on eBay for about 3 months now. I haven't had any issues till now . I sold a cardigan last week. I thought the picture was quite good , not on a mannequin , but on a hanger. In the description , I explained it was in a good used condition and had some bobbing. Buyer paid 2.99 +2.50 postage . I posted at 2.20. She 's left a neutral feedback saying the cardigan is snagging in some part . Being my first neutral feedback , should I be dealing with this ? Should I ask her what the problem was and
ask her to return if not happy ? Does that cancel the neutral feedback ? Or do I just suck it up and take it as my induction into the eBay seller world ? Any advice is greatly welcomed . Thank you

you should contact her and ask her to return for a refund - she should really have contacted you before leaving a neutral to be honest.

Thank you fergoose , I"ll send her a message . Who will bear the cost of postage for the return though ? And will this have any bearing on the feedback already given , can it be withdrawn . Thank you once again

well if not as described you should pay return costs too, but the buyer can't enforce this.

Feedback can be amended after is is sorted out too - that is if the buyer agrees to it.

I think it is probably better to cover yourself even if you are selling personal items by having a full refunds/returns policy. If the item is second hand, always take a good picture, accurate description and say sold as seen on listing. Always accept returns for second hand items as well as new and always at buyers expense. You would be surprised at the number of people who want refunds but fail to return the item. So no return......no refund.

I sell a lot on ebay as a business seller. I would say that recently buyers are more niggly finding small things to complain about, driven by the desire to buy but lack of funds.

I would offer to accept it as a return, only refund sales price in full once it arrives with you and then ask her if she would consider a feedback reversal.

If not leave a comment under hers.
