Partial refund given, how to show this on my ebay sold list

Hi I have given one of my buyers a partial refund, through paypal. The original selling price is still showing in my My Ebay Sold List. I am guessing this means my ebay fees will be based on the original price. Can I make this amendment? Or do they know...? Advice from you experts please!!

No - they found that the top I sold had a small oil mark and one of the seams needed a small mend. I could have challenged them, but I offered a small refund instead and that settled it. I'm a bit of a novice seller, I realised belatedly that I should have asked for pictures at least - but never mind!

Just bumping this message and to add - I have been charged my ebay fees now and the refund was not taken into the calcs. So just making the refund through the 'refund' button in paypal does not automatically change the price paid in ebay. Doesn't matter too much for this time as it was only £2 (20p fees) but does anyone have the answer, for future reference??

Well you don't pay fees on the postage, only on the final value of the item - but I don't think you do get a refund on the fvf if you do a partial refund

Thanks fergoose from what it says on that page you linked me to, it is best to avoid partial refunds completely! One to chalk up to experience. Best to stay strong and say to the buyer return for refund or keep it as it is!

I agree about refusing the partial refunds - I think sellers often feel blackmailed into issuing them in an attempt to avoid bad feedback.
