What sells best; goods on buy it now or auctioned goods?

I normally put my stuff on buy it now as I can't bear to sell stuff for 99p or I put stuff with a high starting bid. Just asking for a general consensus.

Depends what it is. High end designer and must have Christmas gifts for instance auction well.

Things that don't attract a lot of attention safer to do BIN

if you KNOW it will sell for££ by research !
then 99p start auction to entice watchers.
if you aren't sure then either higher starting bid or buy it now.

It costs more to list with BIN so I always do auction on a free lusting weekend and start a bit higher if 99 p is unbearable?

personally i do not do 99p for anything as once fees taken it is not worth selling

I start at minimum I will take for it ( for things worth £1-5 ) WAITNG FOR FREE WEEKEND BEST but for other stuff just list now BIN best for when there are a lot on ebay and you know from completed listings what they sell for

not worth doing BIN under £3-4 as it costs 40p to list

problem with free listing is everyones stuff finishes at same time more competition so not necessarily best price

If you click on advanced search and type what your selling, then a bit further down I think it says completed listing click that then search and it shows you everything that's has or hasnt sold lately and what prices they went for.
That's what I do to work out a rough price guide if I'm Not sure. Otherwise have you tried Facebook selling groups? You set the price and post pics. BUT everyone's out for a bargain so expect some haggling, but you don't have to reduce the price if you don't want.
