Had a bulky collection only item which I really wanted out of the house as soon as possible so listed at a bargain price. A newly registered buyer at the other end of the country has just bid but when I messaged them about collection has said they bid in error and wont be collecting. I've recently left my only ever negative feedback for a poor seller who took it very badly and there is something so odd about the message I can't help suspecting this is an account that has been set up to bid maliciously. Is my only choice to wait 4 days and then raise a case for them not paying? Worried if I send a cancellation request they will refuse, not pay and leave me negative feedback.

on day 4 open a non paying case and then close 4 days later. Only then can you relist. I wouldn't do a cancellation request as they could refuse it. Also add them to your blocked bidder list together with the seller you left a neg for.

And they will not be able to leave a neg either.
