What was the most watchers you've ever had on an Ebay item you're selling?

I've just noticed that a simple snowsuit I've listed has 32 watchers. This seems excessive. It's got 8 bids but it's only going to fetch about a tenner.

I'm not used to selling DC clothing...normally I do collectibles...which are so specilist they only get around ten watchers....

I had about 40 once, I was selling an original nintendo with donkey kong and super mario.

hundreds on unusual vehicles, off the top of my head i think 250 on a custom trike. has no bearing whatsoever on sales ime

How strange - I did very well on a snowsuit once. It actually went for more than I paid for it new! And it wasn't even a special brand (from Lidl!) Can't remember how many watchers it had, not 32

My most watched was a Mulberry key-ring which had 40+. It was given to me by work as part of an "achievers award". I thought it was vile and couldn't see any possible situation when I would use it. It went for an obscene amount of money imo

I had 66 watchers on a Burberry jacket a few weeks ago - as soon as the bids hit the £40 mark the watchers started dropping off though ... it sold for £45.

I often get loads of watchers on items that sell for very little, people often watch items that they have themselves and just watch to see how much they are likely to sell for.

Oh and how could I forget! In 2007 I put a book on ebay - it wasn't a bog standard book started it at £9.99 (it didn't cost me anything) but I knew it would sell well. I wasn't at home for the end of the auction because it was my sons 13th birthday and we were eating out.

My sister was watching the auction and rang me to say that the current bid was £450!!! I totally freaked out and told her to keep me updated, the book finally sold for £860 - I was just dumbstruck.

I was quite new to ebay back then and started to panic as the buyer had paid immediately but they were overseas and I didn't know how to send it safely.

It did get there safely and the new owners were totally delighted :)

How could a bog standard book fetch that much!? It wasn't bog standard was it!? Was it a 1st edition?

I had 30 or so for the Phil & Teds buggy.

I just had 53 on a cosytoes that ended last night!

I can't think of any others off the top of my head but, I agree, lots of watchers doesn't equal lots of bids...unfortunately!

did your cosytoes fetch a decent price? I've a nice one on but it's only got 10 watchers. It's a v good brand too!

Dh had 83 on his car, and about 6 bids

It sold for £36 which I was very pleased with but am a bit worried about what the buyer will think when they receive it. It's a sheepskin cosytoes but some of the stitching has come away along one seam and there is no makers label (I had it with a secondhand buggy off eBay).

I also sold a buggysnuggle at the same time which has black marks on it and was described very honestly. It sold for £17!! It only had about 25 watchers though. I have another buggysnuggle (I'll never part with that one!) which is much thicker than the one I've just sold so I'm a bit worried about that buyer too

BFL The book was a handwritten musical manuscript from 1785.
On the manuscript side of the page was music and on the right hand page were handwritten instructionsof how to dance a quadrille to the music. It was leather bound (tatty) and about the size of an autograph book.

My dad sold his 1967 VW Beetle... It had 154 watchers when it ended
