Combined postage...

I have had a few messages asking if I will combine postage. I am happy to, but how do I go about combining postage for items I'm selling?

Do I do it before or refund them after I've sent the items?

If before, how?

once the auctions have ended you just send an invoice for all of the items together, then the buyer will send one payment for all of the items. Is very straightforward.

fergoose, does the invoice automatically combine a buyers items if they bid on more than one thing from you?

Bongaloo Ebay doesn't invoice with automatic combined postage discount unless you set a discount up with your auction settings (I forget how, I think the option doesn't appear with my listings any more). I wouldn't want to do automatic discounts because the variations on what P+P will be required are too complicated, I need to actually weigh up what they have bought.

Oh I didn't mean automatic postage discount - rather, is it one invoice per buyer. Like if someone buys 2 things off me are there 2 invoices or 1?

You'll get a combined invoice form to send off, for all items outstanding that you need to bill that buyer for. The opportunity for making a postage discount is pretty clear on the form, iirc.
