Bought a pushchair with punctures...

...What would be a reasonable resolution?

I've emailed seller stating that 2 of the 4 wheels are punctured, so item is not as described.

New inner tubes are £8.95 and I've sent the link to show this.

Punctures should be repairable with a kit; but I don't think it's reasonable to suggest I do this is it? We both noticed the wheels were soft as I loaded it into the car, but I said I'd pump them up when I got home. I genuinely don't think the seller knew they were punctured.

Incidentally - 2 new wheels would cost the same as the pushchair (£80).

Although the item was collection - I paid (as requested) via PayPal, so I believe I'm in quite a strong position. Returning it would be a nightmare in terms of time/cost. I collected it as it was convenient, but it'd be very inconvenient to do that trip a 2nd time.

I'm waiting for response, but interested to hear what others would expect.

you couldn't file a not as described case unless you returned by trackable means with a signature which would cost a fair amount I guess. If you returned it yourself you would have no proof the item was returned and would not win a not as described case.

Seller was very silly accepting paypal, an unscrupulous buyer would file not received and get all their money back as there is no proof of delivery. They should only have taken cash for a collection item.

Bad luck but I'd just suck it up to be honest. You could have requested the seller sort it out there and then but you didn't. Repairing a couple of punctures doesn't take long - probably much quicker than taking it back. You shouldn't need new tubes unless they are ancient and crumbling. You definitely don't need new wheels!
