It was a lovely white company dress for my Dd.

The dress and top were basically screwed up and wrapped up in a taped together bit of bin bag, with a ripped piece of paper on the front for my address.

What would you put in feedback comment? And would you still give a positive?

I am wondering what you paid for it, especially compared to new price. If cost over £20 then I can understand expecting it to arrive lovingly wrapped. If price was under.... ?£6 then I think it would be unreasonable to expect anything but most minimal packaging.

I think you're being very fussy and prim. But as it's crucial to you, I would leave a positive (as the item was as described) and detail in the comments section. And maybe use John Lewis in future? Hmm

I've used ebay for years.

It's the first time I'd received something in such a dishevelled state.

All I asked is what would other people do ref feedback

Honestly, there's no need to be so rude.

Thank you to those who had read and understood the OP.

Mcphee I think you are being very reasonable (I know its not AIBU) cos I would be very miffed with that, especially charging 40p for a bin bag.

I would mark down the stars. I don't hold with the "it costs money to go to the PO" - the rules are you are not supposed to profit from ebay

I always post out in bin bags. They're lightweight, cheap, waterproof and easy to use. I've only ever had one complaint, and I consider that to be very, very unreasonable.

Your item arrived undamaged, on time, and adequately packed. It's possible that it got thrown around during transit, and that's how it ended up bundled.
